Special Projects

The Special Projects office supports new enterprises and strengthens existing enterprises in Uganda through technology business incubation, capacity building programs/activities, consultancies and carrying out of various business researches. The core activities include;

  • Development of incubatees and SME Outreach Programs. The office coordinates the setting up of fully equipped Business Development Centres in various regions of Uganda that cater for entrepreneurial development and success nation-wide, it plays a role in promoting small and medium enterprises as a means to create more and better jobs via qualifying viable business proposals into the Business Incubation Program.
  • Consultancy Services. The office is open to offering a range of consultancy services including though not limited to; Business Idea Generation, Innovation and Technology Development, Business Planning, Management, Product Development, Market Analysis/Penetration, Technology Evaluation, Business Computing, Business Planning, Negotiation, Market Research & Sales Strategy Development, Client Relations and Management, Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, Financial Analysis, Business Accounting, Emerging Markets, Business Plan Development, Start-up Environment, Product/Market Alliance, Partnerships and Leadership.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of incubatees and SMEs progress. This is a daily practice that helps us track projects’ performances right from outputs, outcomes and impacts to concretely assess whether these projects are arriving at their goals, how have they affected the community and the economic growth.
  • Needs assessment (done upon demand request). This is carried out on start-up enterprises and already existing ones that express interest for support in their respective areas of business. We identify gaps and determine measures of intervention.
  • Orchestration of Enterprise Capacity Building Programs / Activities. The office coordinates capacity building programs or activities aimed at strengthening the technological capabilities of small/start up enterprises and aimed at ensuring that they have access to and make use of relevant technology through: community outreach programs, workshops and/ or seminars, business lectures and trainings.
