On 28^th February 2023, Prof. Charles Kwesiga the Executive Director – Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) signed an MoU with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to strengthen and promote their cooperation in Research & Development, Technology Transfer and Development.

Focus areas of collaboration include Agro processing, Cosmetology, Waste Management & Cleaner Production, Artificial Intelligence & Automation among others.

This is a milestone for UIRI and the country at large that will strengthen bilateral industrial relations between Uganda and South Africa.
