UIRI's Hosts Dignitaries at the Industrial Skills and Production Centre in Namanve
The commissioning of the Machining Manufacturing Industrial Skilling and Production Centre at the Kampala Industrial Business Park in Namanve in January 2020 has led to a growing interest in the centre by a number of government line Ministry's Departments and Agencies who have had familiarisation visits to the facility. Most recently the facility has hosted Hon. Sam Kutesa the Minister of Foreign Affairs and members of the Parliament Committee on National Economy, led by Hon Saida Bbumba.
Sitted on 15 acres with modern infrastructure the Machining Manufacturing Industrial Skilling and Production Centre is among Uganda's most promising interventions for industrial growth. It targets building both human resource and technology production capacity, which will support the manufacturing sector in the country.
